The Immortalized Human Lymphoblastoid Cells- EBV (KMS-15) was derived from peripheral human blood lymphocytes, with minimal genetic and phenotypic alterations compared to the parental lymphocytes. Being an actively proliferating B cell population, these cells provide a constant supply of starting materials suitable for various assays and in vitro model system for the study of human B cells.The KMS-15 cells are positive for both CD19 and CD20 B cell antigens as well as HLA-DR. In contrast, another lyphoblastoid cell line, KMS-9 (Cat. No. T0132) is positive for HLA-DR and CD19B while tested negative for CD20.
