A549 cells constituitvely expressing ACE2 and TMPRSS2. A sleeping beauty transposon system was used to generate this cell line which is highly susceptible to SARS-CoV-2. Therefore, the cell line is an excellent model for rapid and sensitive monitoring of SARS-CoV-2 infection and for screening host factors essential for viral replication.
