| Full Information |
This Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) was isolated from a hamster with CCA induced by O. viverrini metacercariae and N-nitrosodimethylamine. Cells exhibit chromosome hyperploidy and demonstrate slower growth, higher adhesion and migration, and resistance to doxorubicin and 5-fluorouracil (5-FU), compared to the Ham-1 cell line. Subcutaneous transplantation of Ham-2 cells into BALB/c Rag-2/Jak3 double-deficient (BRJ) mice forms mucin-producing cancers resembling human tubular cholangiocarcinoma. Intravenous injection was assocated with metastatic nodules in the lungs and livers and BRJ mice. This cell line is suitable for CAA drug discovery and validation related research.
