This B16F10 murine melanoma cell line features a stable knock-out of the Apolipoprotein d (Apod) gene. Genotype was confirmed by PCR and mRNAseq. Apod is involved in lipid transport and has been associated with Alzheimer’s Disease (AD), Parkinsons disease (PD) and stroke. Therefore, this cell line may serve as a useful for model for strudies investigating the pathology and treatment possibilities of such diseases.
