MCF-7 were transfected with human carbohydrate (chondroitin 4) sulfotransferase-11 (CHST11) gene to establish the MCF-7-CHST11 cells.Expression of the CHST11 gene is associated with agressive beahviour of human breast cancel cells. Cells show increased accumulation of B-catenin and decreased expression of E-cadherin. The cell line useful for investigations in CHST11 role in breast cancer and for research into potential therapeutic cancer targets.
