This cell line stably overexpresses Rabaptin5 (5 times as much compared to wild-type cells). Rabaptin5 levels were analyzed using immoblotting in comparison to parental cells. Cells overexpressing Rabaptin5 are characterized by swelling of early endosomes upon treatment with cholorquine. The cells are suitable models for research related to Rabaptin characeriztion and pathway studies.
