The HeLa Overexpressing Stable tCD-Luc2 Cell Line contains the fusion gene tCD2-luc2 from the luciferase 2 protein and the rat CD2 protein. The overexpression of tCD2-luc2 in the HeLa cells was done by stable transfection using lentiviral infection with the plasmid DNA containing the fusion gene. The growth of this cell line is identical to the wild type cells which indicates that the exogenous protein tCD2-luc2 has no toxic effect. The HeLa Overexpressing Stable tCD-Luc2 Cell Line shows a significant amount of luciferase activity which produces bioluminescent cells.
