weekly. Cells are slow-growing and extremely sensitive to mycoplasma contamination; routine testing should be performed. Do not allow cells to become over-confluent or grow past a density of 1×106 cells/ml.*Cells may lose functionality as a result of continous culture. Degranulation assays must be conducted every 2 months to test functionality -protocol can be found under the "Documents" tab.

Popis

LADR cells are a newly re-established human mast cell line derived from a second aspiration of the same patient who contributed to the LAD2 (Cat. T8157) line. LADR cells are larger, more granulated, and exhibit a slower proliferation rate compared to LAD2 cells. They are characterized by increased expression of FcεRI and CD117, higher tryptase levels, and additional surface markers such as CD13, CD123, CD184, and CD195. These characteristics suggest that LADR cells are more advanced and mature, making them a unique model for studying mast cell biology, particularly in advanced stages of development. Additionaly, cells are susceptible to T-tropic, M-tropic, and dual tropic HIV infection. LADR cells are valuable for research in allergy, immunology, and infectious diseases. Their distinct expression profile and functional responses make them suitable for studies on mast cell activation, signaling, and interaction with pathogens, such as HIV. The unique properties of LADR cells, including their slower proliferation and higher granularity, offer additional insights into mast cell maturation and function, complementing studies performed with LAD2 cells.LADR cells differ from LAD2 cells in their slower proliferation, increased granulation, and higher expression of certain surface markers and tryptase. These differences enhance the utility of LADR cells in specific research areas where these attributes are advantageous, providing a more mature and advanced model for studying certain aspects of mast cell biology.Note: understanding the recommended culture conditions and expected behaviour of this cell line are critical for establishing a successful culture.
