PriCoat™ T25 Flasks (G299) or Applied Cell Extracellular Matrix (G422) are recommended for optimal cell culture. DMEM ,High Glucose Medium (TM500) + 10% HI-FBS + 2mM L-Glutamine (G275) + 1% Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution (G255) ,29.0°C ,5% CO₂.Note: cells are grown at 29.0°C. Cells are sensitive to trypsin; Gentle Dissociation Solution (TM080) is recommended for subculture procedures. |

This immortalized lizard embryonic friboblast cell line is derived from primary fribroblast cells isolated from the torso (with internal organs removed) of a single stage 6 Anolis sagrei embryo. The primary cells were serially passaged until signs of cell growth ended (passage 26). After several days of continued culture, a small number of cell resumed proliferating, and an individual cell from this culture was isolated to generate the ASEC-1 cell line.
