PriCoat™ T25 Flasks (G299) or Applied Cell Extracellular Matrix (G422) are recommended for optimal cell culture. Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) ,High Glucose (TM500) + 10% FBS + 1% Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution (G255) ,37.0°C ,5% CO₂. 0.1 µg/ml Puromycin (G264) for selection. Note: Selection drugs should be added to the culture medium after the first passage to ensure cells have recovered from freeze-thaw conditions. |

Luciferase is commonly used as a reporter to assess the transcriptional activity of a genetic construct with a luciferase gene under the promoter of interest. The Luciferase stable PC3 Cell line was generated using abm’s Luciferase (Photinus pyralis) Lentiviral Vector (UbC, Cat. LV010087) on PC3 cells. The expression of luciferase has been confirmed via luciferase assay. All clones are puromycin (0.1 µg/ml)-resistant. Luciferase stable PC3 cells can be a very useful cell line for non-invasive visualization in in vitro experiments.
