This C8 cell line is a pre-osteoclast cell line, unlike the H10 line (Cat. T3990) which does not exhibit the ability to undergo osteoclastogenesis, i.e., it does not fuse to form large multinucleated cells in the presence of sRANKL. This unique characteristic makes the C8 cell line a valuable resource for comparative studies to understand the molecular mechanisms that regulate osteoclast differentiation and function.
