This murine tongue squamous cell carcinoma cell line (MTCQ2) expresses various epithelial cell markers and low levels of E-cadherin. MTCQ2 shows Ki67 and PCNA expression. Western blot, qPCr and IHC were used to elucidate epithelium, EMT and stemness marker expression, as well as the murine origin of the cell line. As oral carcinoma (OSCC) is one of the leading cancers worldwide, established oral carcinoma cell lines serve as precilincal models for understanding OSCC and developing therapeutic strategies and interventions.
