This cell line ectopiccaly expresses the feline serine protease, TMPRSS2 variant 1 in an Fcwf-4 cell line with reduced responsiveness to Interferon alpha Receptor Null (Fcwf-4 IRN). These cells are responsive to FIPV infection. This cell line is a suitable model for clinical investigations for FIPV.
