Highly systemic metastatic stable cell lines were derived from spontaneously arising tumors in the inbred VM/Dk mouse strain. VM-M3 Cells express macrophages or macrophage-like cells properties; similar to previously reported types of human metastatic cancers. The VM-NM1 Cells (Cat# T8018), which does not lead to metastatic disease, but appears to express properties of neural stem/progenitor cells, and the VM-M2 Cells (Cat# T8017), which has metastatic behavior, are also available at abm. These VM tumor models are useful for evaluating potential therapies for managing metastatic tumors.
