The mouse colon carcinoma cell line (MC38) was transfected with the following plasmids: pApo (Apolipoprotein A-1) or pApoLinkerP144 (ApoA-I linked to the anti-TGF-β peptide P144 by a long and flexible linker (GAPAPAETKAEPMT)) to obtain the MC38 Apo and Mc38 ApoLinkerP144 cell lines. Protein expression was determined through qPCR. The MC38 ApoLinkerP144 cells appear smaller in size than the MC38 Apo cells. This cell line has a decreased capacity for tumorigenicity and metastatic protential, in vivo, and is suitable for studies focusing on antitumor immune response.
