The mouse colon carcinoma cell line (MC38) was transfected with the following plasmids: pApo (Apolipoprotein A-1) or pApoLinkerP144 (ApoA-I linked to the anti-TGF-β peptide P144 by a long and flexible linker (GAPAPAETKAEPMT)) to obtain the MC38 Apo and Mc38 ApoLinkerP144 cell lines. Protein expression was determined through qPCR. The MC38 Apo A-1 clones overexpress ApoA-1 200-fold more than WT cells. The MC38 Apo cells remain similar to their parental cell line and retain the ability to form colonies in soft agar. This cell line is tumorigenic and has metastatic potential, in vivo and is suitable for research focusing on antitumor immune response.
