The ATG4A/B Stable Double Knockout HeLa Cell Line is engineered to lack both ATG4A and ATG4B genes, critical enzymes in the autophagic process. Through the use of CRISPR-Cas9, this cell line demonstrates a compounded impairment in autophagy, with drastically reduced processing of both LC3 and GABA type A receptor-associated protein-like 1 (GABARAPL1), although some residual autophagic activity remains due to the presence of ATG4C and ATG4D.
