EBV-negative Burkitt’s Lymphoma Cell Line (DG75)

These cells are derived from pleural effusion of a child with primary abdominal lymphoma. Alongside an absence of EBV genome and EBV receptors, this cell line possesses several characteristics that set it apart from previously known lymphoblastoid cell lines. Mainly, the DG75 cells have different growth characteristics and cell morphology; they do not form EAC or E rosettes, possesses IgM-kappa immunoglobins on the cell surface, have high cap-forming ability, and low agglutinability with fluorescent concanavilin. This cell line is suitable for malignant lymphoma studies.
