These particular HeLa cells stably express the NDE1 (NudE Neurodevelopment Protein 1) protein. It is localized at the centrosome and is part of a complex that regulates dynein function. This protein is required for the correct orientation of the mitotic spindle and is heavily involved in microtubule organization and neuronal migration. Cell line was generated by retroviral infection (pBABE MMLV).<br><br>High magnifications (400-1000x) are required to observe the GFP-tagged fusion due to the intracellular localization of specific subcellular structures.</p>
