Immortalized Human Neuronal Progenitor Cells (Neu41) are immortalized via the introduction of only the cytoplasmic content (non-DNA) of tumor cells into primary human neuronal progenitor cells, thereby resulting in permanent growth activation. One key aspect of such an immortalization method is its resemblance of the immortalized cells to its primary counterparts (i.e. grows in monolayer). Neu41 cells can be differentiated into mature neurons with appropriate differentiation promoting agent. Characterization was conducted by IHC.
