Immortalized Mouse Olfactory Bulb Cells (OBC6)

The olfactory bulb is located within the vertebrate forebrain, in which it functions to receive nerve endings/input from the nasal cavity. The sense of smell is associated with the nerve tissues of the olfactory bulb.Immortalized Mouse Olfactory Bulb Cells (OBC6) is immortalized with non-replicating retrovirus carrying the avian Myc gene. It is a sister derivative from the Immortalized Mouse Olfactory Bulb Cells (OBC1) (Cat. No. T0235). It is a valuable in vitro tool for studies relating to the functions and the biology of the olfactory bulb. The cells express resistance to 0.3 mg/ml G418 (Cat. No. G271).
