OV-MZ-22 cells were derived from a biopsy sample of an ovarian cancer tumor from the upper abdomen of a 56 year old human. This cell line displays no expression of CA-125, CEA and multidrug resistant proteins while overexpressing MDR-1, lung resistance protein (p53) and topoisomerase I and II. The cell line is aneuploid and differentiates to carcinosarcoma. OV-MZ-22 cell lines are great for further research of ovarian cancer. </p>
