Popis

One of the limitations of 293T cells are that they adhere poorly to tissue culture-treated plastic substrates. Their native adherence makes 293T cells not suitable for a number of experiments without cumbersome and expensive experimental modifications. It is especially difficult to use 293T cells in experiments where rapid additions of reagents or washing by automated equipments are needed, as the cells are quickly lost in these conditions. ProAdhere 293T cells are a cell line stably expressing a receptor that confers a sufficiently adherent phenotype. In comparison to its parental 293T cells, the ProAdhere 293T cells are suitable for use in high-throughput drug screening formats and facilitate large scale lentiviral production.
