HADH mutation verified by DNA sequencingSCHAD protein knockout verified by Western BlottingUsing CRISPR-Cas9, a knockout of the Short-chain 3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase (SCHAD) was established in human embryonic kidney cells (HEK293) to produce the SCHAD Stable Knockout HEK293 cell line (G2Af7). Successful SCHAD knockout was evaluated by western blotting. Since these cells are devoid of endogenous SCHAD expression they are useful in a wide variety of applications for scientific research.
