Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) ,High Glucose (TM500) + 10% FBS + 1% Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution (G255) ,37.0°C ,5% CO₂. 400 µg/ml Geneticin/G418 (G271) for selection. Note: Selection drugs should be added to the culture medium after the first passage to ensure cells have recovered from freeze-thaw conditions. |

Stable Hep3B Expressing mir-122 Cell Line was established by successful transfection of the pmirGLO-miR122comp vector under the luciferase gene in which there is suppression of luciferase expression indicating that the cells express miR122 exogenously. Expression of miR122 has links to increased HCV propagation. This cell line was established as a tool to study HCV.
