This immortalized intestinal microvascular endothelial cell line is modified with the Simian Virus 40 (SV40) large T antigen for immortalization. This manipulation allows these cells to bypass the normal cellular senescence and continue proliferating indefinitely, providing a stable and reproducible tool for research.
