Stable HEK293T Expressing Mouse DMT1 Cell Line overexpresses the divalent metal transporter-1 (DMT1) introduced to the HEK293T cells via transfection with DMT1 cDNA. The cell line is useful for the cell-based screening of small molecule inhibitors of iron uptake due to metal-sensitive calcein fluorescence. Hence a unique feature is that in the presence of iron, calcien fluorescence is quenched.
