This COS-7 parental cell line is engineered to stably express HLA-A*02:01 – a particular class I major histocompatibility complex (MHC) allele group at the HLA-A locus. HLA-A*02:01 plays an important role in antigen presentation to T-cells and immune surveillance and has been implicated in various diseases. This cell line, created via retroviral transduction and validated through flow cytometry, is maintained without antibiotic selection. It is valuable for research in antigen presentation, T-cell responses, viral and cancer immunotherapies, and studying the mechanisms of immune recognition and response.
