MEM α ,No Nucleosides Medium (TM512) + 10% FBS + 1M HEPES + 1X Non-Essential Amino Acids (TM068) + 1.5% Sodium Bicarbonate + 1% Penicillin/Streptomycin Solution (G255) ,37.0°C ,5% CO₂. 10 µg/ml Gentamicin (G272) and 1.0 mg/ml Geneticin/G418 (G271) for selection. Note: Selection drugs should be added to the culture medium after the first passage to ensure cells have recovered from freeze-thaw conditions. |

Stable HEK293 Over Expressing Ras Protein Cell Line is designed as a valuable tool to cultivate serotypes 40 and 41 of enteric human adenoviruses (HAdVs) for research purposes. HAdVs have been linked to drinking water contamination which is associated with waterborne diseases. Studying HAdVs can be limited due to low detection levels in samples obtained, but with the Stable HEK293 Over Expressing Ras Protein Cell Line researchers have a tool which is highly competent of supporting HAdV growth to allow more greater detection for the virus. Infect the cells with the HAdV strains and viral cDNA is amplified.</p>
